Great Read Any Entrepreneur Who Prefers Quiet Focus Over Constant Connections
By Kevin Kruse
I am a MASSIVE introvert (I think I scored "unabomber" on an assessment once). I'm also an Inc 500 award-winning serial entrepreneur. Yes, introversion and entrepreneurship do work together.
Beth Buelow, an introverted entrepreneur herself, accurately describes the feelings we tribe members frequently experience. The sheer exhaustion from being "on" at networking events and tradeshows...the stomach pain while making cold calls...the rising dread every time someone utters "let's do lunch". However, Buelow also goes on to explain that the traits of the typical introvert are also strengths when it comes to entrepreneurship. Things like curiosity, desire to go deep, ability to focus, active listening, calmness under pressure and self-awareness.
Part pep-talk and part executive coach, this book offers specific specific advice for thriving in networking and sales situations, for leading teams, and expanding your business. I wish Buelow had written her book earlier in my career so I could have felt less guilty about my style, and learned how to make uncomfortable situations a little less so.
I learned long ago that you are often all alone as an entrepreneur. Thankfully, I like it that way.

Finally, a book for me!!
By Ichijiku
As an introvert and business owner, I find that most business books are geared towards Type-A people. They have a "Just do it!" kind of attitude that really doesn't do anything for me. Most of the time I already know what I need to do for my business, it's the actually doing it that I sometimes struggle with, and the pep talk approach doesn't inspire me.
This is the first book I've ever read that gives practical advice to handle the specific issues I have as an introvert entrepreneur (networking, fear, and all the other stuff most books completely ignore). And unlike some other business books, the author's voice is warm and understanding. It's almost like having a friend guide you through the ups and downs of growing your business.
This is a must-read for any introvert (entrepreneur or employee) who wants advice in how to take their career to the next level!

Introverts unite! (at home, separately)
By Betsy Talbot
Beth first came on my radar several years ago through a network of entrepreneurs in the Seattle area. I had no idea what an introvert was, but I knew I was struggling with my business demands. How could I want to help people but avoid them at the same time? :) Beth's work clued me in about being an introvert and my specific energy needs, and it wasn't long after that the term went mainstream through the work of Susan Cain, Brene Brown and others. Introverts were in the limelight!
Beth has been a guest on my podcast and website over the years, helping thousands of people learn to communicate better with and as introverts. And personally, she transformed the way my husband (and extrovert) and I work together. He says it is the single most important discovery he has ever made about me and our communication with each other.
For that, she gets 5 stars and my never-ending gratitude.
If you are an ambitious introvert who wants to learn how to maximize your strengths and be seen in a noisy world, this is your book. You'll learn a lot about your career, but you'll be able to take many of these lessons to heart in your personal life, too.
