If you like a book where the main characters make shockingly stupid decisions, then this is the book for you

I think R.S. Grey is talented, so I am sorry I didn't enjoy this book, but it just didn't work on so many levels. The entire book hinges on eye-roll worthy and asinine decisions by the main characters that render them unsympathetic and unlikeable. I want to relate to the characters in a book or at least understand their bad decisions -- here, I just wanted to punch them all in the throat.

Cammie has her own architectural design for a competition, but rather than show it to her boyfriend/boss Grayson and see if he will enter it in the competition on behalf of the firm - you know, like a rational person with a masters degree would -- she breaks into her boyfriend/boss' office, steals company property (letterhead), forges his signature and defrauds the design review board by submitting an unauthorized entry -- hmm -- sounds like a great way to start a career and keep the guy you've been in love with for years. Cammie - I just can't like or root for a character that is so stupid.
Grayson has had feelings for Cammie (his friend's younger sister) for years, but rather than befriend her, get to know her and wait until she is old enough, he is cold and dismissive of her in person, all the while stalking her and, unbeknownst to her, improperly controlling every aspect of her life. Grayson -- that is just immature, mean and creepy.
Cammie is finally old enough for Grayson. Rather than approaching her and acting on his feelings, he hires her, but says he can't get involved with his employees. Then he proceeds to (repeatedly) summon another woman to his office in the middle of the day for sex just to send Cammie a message. Grayson -- you're gross. I don't like you. But since Cammie's an idiot, I guess you're perfect for each other.
Sorry -- but I just can't stand these characters.

This novel! Rachel Grey does NOT disappoint people!
What a fun enjoyable read!
This is supposed to be a standalone, but honestly, I think you will enjoy the book more having the background from the first book, The Duet.
Cammie and Grayson are just such cute/hawt characters! I love the sexual tension between them!
I am not going to get into the storyline, because......I don't want to.
However, I will say, that this is story of a girl/woman, trying to fin herself. I can feel Cammie's struggle to find herself and be independent. This might not sound "angsty" enough, but it is angsty enough.
I liked it. I liked that both characters were real to me. I like that Cammie is trying to be sure of herself, but isn't quite sure but is trying to find who she is, independently of her sister and Grayson. Grayson was HAWT. No if or but about it. I could not get enough of the suit descriptions(Shutup! It worked for me)
It was FUNNY!!!! This novel was everything that Rachel is known for and more! The funny just works! It isn't over the top, it doesn't make you roll your eyes, it just works. It makes you fall in love with them. I highly recommend you read it if you are looking for a book that sure thing!

I don't know what happened

I felt like this book - and the characters - totally did 180s half way through.
First off - Love me a good ol' "my boss needs to spank me" book. Always promising.
However, these two went from totally denying each other (ridiculously and annoyingly so - not in a teasing way) to being in insta' love. It didn't make sense. I mean, the h, is OBSESSED with the H from birth. Okay, maybe not birth,but pretty darn close to it. She even makes her whole career choice, which includes a master's degree, based on the fact that it's the H's passion. Then half way through the book, it's like it was her passion, even though she never really showed any love for it until she went to school. Even then it never expresses that the h liked what she did, it just kept referencing that she was trying to gain the H's attention with it.
Then there's the " I refuse to sleep with my employee" rule the H sets about...at the h's interview with him...that the h tells him and herself she'll see through and get 'em. She's all "...but what about after hours..."
Then the H proceeds to UNPROFESSIONALLY bang his girlfriend in the office every day (okay, almost everyday). He keeps ignoring the h...bang girlfriend...ignore h...bang girlfriend....you get it, right? OH but he must remain professional and not date an employee in his tiny firm. WTFE, dude.
This TRULY makes the h look like a crazy fan girl instead of the old family friend that respects and loves the H. Hell, it makes the H look like a hypocritical douche bag.
Fast forward through the book...the finally start bangin'...two pages later their "we only bang game" is now "we are madly in love game:" but only the H shows it. Suddenly, out of left field, the h acts as if she must choose her suddenly important career over her temporary "just bangin" him" boss. Like he's nothing....like she hasn't obsessed over him in forever...like she...she...she *shakes head* I'm so lost by this point.
Don't even get me started on the creepy roommate that has story lines swirling around her that aren't only ridiculous, but serve no purpose and only distract us from what's supposed to be the main story line.
Oh and PARIS - WTF? Yeah...you're thinking, "what do you mean "Oh and PARIS""....EXACTLY! That's how I felt reading most of this book...exactly how you feel about reading this review.
