About the Author
Candee Fick is the wife of a high school football coach and the mother of three children, including a daughter with a rare genetic syndrome. When not busy with her day job or writing, she can be found cheering on the home team at football, basketball, baseball, and Special Olympics games. In what little free time remains, she enjoys exploring the great Colorado outdoors, indulging in dark chocolate, and savoring happily-ever-after endings through a good book.
In addition to her inspirational non-fiction titles, Candee has published a dozen articles in publications including In Touch, The War Cry, Exceptional Parent, and Special Education Today. As a member of American Christian Fiction Writers (ACFW), she was a Double Finalist and WINNER in the 2014 ACFW Genesis contest short novel category, 2011 Semi-finalist in contemporary fiction, and 2009 Runner-Up in women's fiction.

A must read book for fans of Christian romance!

I totally loved this book. I wasn't sure about it at first because I'm not a big fan of sports but the story was so well written and so gripping I was hooked almost from the inception. I loved the way the romance between Reed and Cassie developed and I especially liked how they maintained self control even though they were clearly physically attracted to each other. This book embodied a Christian romance in the way it showed characters living out their faith even in the face of life's challenges. I don't think it would be an exaggeration to say that this is the best book in this genre I've read thus far. I would definitely be reading future books by this author. Well done Candee Flick!

Catch of a Lifetime was the most romantic story of football I have ever read! Even if you don’t like football, you’ll love this book. Even if you don’t like romance, you’ll love this book. Candee Fick has composed a compelling romance between football coach, Reed, who can’t seem to please his parents and Cassie, the athletic trainer, who hates football.
Aside from the obvious irony, this story narrates a true to life situation in which two people help each other work through the mental and emotional barriers preventing them from enjoying their careers. The in depth look into the lives of the players they focus on is another added element that will have you rooting for the Cougars football team both on and off the field.
Set in the beauty of Fort Collins, Colorado, Reed and Cassie fall in love in what can only be described as a God-orchestrated set of circumstances. Both grow in their relationship with God as they seek to discover their own romantic feelings for one another. The need to keep their love for one another a secret, hidden behind the pretense of a professional relationship, only seems to make them love one another even more.
Pick up Catch of a Lifetime by Candee Fick and you won’t be putting it down anytime soon. It is a story that will live in your heart long after the final page has been turned.

A Touchdown Romance

One of my favorite quotes is from the late Larry Burkett who said, "If both of you had everything in common, one of you would be unnecessary." That's the fun of reading Catch of a Lifetime. Reed is all about football and Cassie isn't a fan. But she's thrust into the sport and has to work with Reed, who wants a winning season and a lasting career. What neither of them count on is the sparks they find with each other.
There's so much to enjoy about Catch of A Lifetime. I love that she created a football world that even the most uninterested reader can understand and keep turning the pages. The sports aspect is part of the plot but not overwhelming. She created real characters. They have wounds, temptations and personalities to deal with. Finally, the romance is sweet. This is a romance I think older teens could pick up and hand off to their grandmothers and there's no shame between the pages. That's a big deal for me.
Whether you're in the bleachers cheering on your favorite team or sitting on the couch reading while your loved one watches a game, you need to pick up a copy of Catch of a Lifetime. It's a touchdown.
