I’m usually not one to go for body image type bible studies, but I can honestly tell you this was a life changing study for me. It took my focus off what I think about myself and really got me focused on how God sees me and what that means in terms of how I live my life out for Him.

I got a sneak peek at Love Beyond Looks before its initial publication

I got a sneak peek at Love Beyond Looks before its initial publication, and, from the moment I first read it, I not only loved Kasey's writing, but was encouraged and challenged at every turn. As someone who has done many fantastic Bible studies, there are a few things I'm always looking for, and the most important to me is scripture being a prominent part of the Bible study. On this count, I was not disappointed! Each chapter contains four days of study, with a memory verse, devotional, and questions for each day. Beyond the memory verse, each devotional contains lots of scripture.
One of my favorite days of study was in Week 3, Day 4, on how to treat others with value. In this section, Kasey referenced Roman 14:19, reminding me that everything that comes out of my mouth should encourage others in their faith, and that I need to do my best to not let small, everyday things, become a point of contention or division. While I don't struggle with this all the time, I work in an academic setting, so nitpicking seems to be par for the course. This day challenged me to work on loving others through my words (spoken and written), in every setting, especially my work setting.
I loved Loved Beyond Looks, and I hope you're willing to give it a try, and give yourself a chance to be transformed through God's word and the insight on these scriptures He gave Kasey.

We ask "Will I be like this forever

Sometimes we wonder whether our battles with sin will ever end. We ask "Will I be like this forever?". That's why we never needed a good example of a good guy to imitate - we needed a savior. Christ has come, died, and is reigning! He will return! This study was a "thrill of hope" in a battle that I sometimes feel will never end. I grew in grace for myself and others, and allowed the Lord to speak into areas that I didn't know I was unwilling to show him. If God is offering you life, I encourage you to receive it. Maybe that looks like purchasing this for yourself or a friend you love. Thanks to Kasey Schuler for being a brave and God-fearing author!
