About the Author
Mike Cleary is a longtime Bay Area radio personality. While some may remember him as a Top Forty DJ or as the host of a popular children's TV show, he is best remembered as being the Mike of "Frank and Mike in the Morning." The Frank was his close friend, Frank Dill. The highly rated show ran for years on KNBR in San Francisco. In 2007, he was inducted into the Bay Area Radio Hall of Fame. A proud neatnik, Mike has a fondness for colorful socks, pocket-squares, Martinis and memorizing Shakespeare. To date, no one has asked him to recite any of the Bard's good stuff he has committed to memory. He and his wife, Mary Ann, have recently retired from long-distance running and now enjoy long-distance walking. Their longest to date was a clockwise stroll around the island of Manhattan. Mr Cleary is happily married with two grown daughters. He resides in Piedmont, California.

Follow the Money

In his follow-up novel to Spiritual Mischief, Mike Cleary takes the reader on another journey, but not on a haunted cruise ship. This time he follows the money, or rather the effects of a great deal of money on a diverse group of acquaintances, in Dick Clark Died Today.

There’s a hypochondriacal plumber, an aging former Oakland Raider lineman, a retired Bay Area broadcaster, and an erstwhile English professor from Cal. For them, life’s brief candle is burning low. They chat and drink for their occasional hour upon a barstool at the same Gourmet Ghetto restaurant in North Berkeley. Then one day the death of a seemingly ageless celebrity sparks a simple act that results in enormous consequences.

Therein lies the tale, told by an author who laces his narrative with wit, a bon vivant’s knowledge of food, drink, travel, history, literature, and fashion, and a keen awareness of the nuances of human nature. Cleary also reveals his fondness for the Bay Area, particularly Berkeley venues lovingly rendered, and his pen is always poised to celebrate the charms of women.

Cleary’s characters are very careful what they wish for, mostly managing to avoid “pitfalls of instant wealth” such as “pleonexia,” insatiable greed for the wealth of others. Along the way, the reader learns along with them that transformation is always possible, and that there is “an enormous difference in getting older and getting old.”

As in his previous novel, the author sees good in almost everyone, and as for money, he finds a basic “urge to do something good with it.” It’s a delightful read, and one hopes Cleary is spot on with his take on humanity.

Don't do it.

I don't think I read the same book as everyone else. It was so cheesy I wanted to throw up. I hated May. She was so ditzy and immature. "Wine me, dine me and 69 me" Yes. This is a literal line from the book from 29 year old May. Really? Do people really talk like that! So glad this is off my shelf.

As can be seen by the one-star vote, I did not care for this book. It was poorly written and very immature. The incident that started the book was not carried through...it was simply a way of introducing the two main characters. The rest of the book was just about whether the female character and the male character would have sex. This may be a "to be continued" book, but I don't care enough to find out and definitely would not get the next book anyway.

3.5 stars--WRONG NUMBER, RIGHT GUY is the first installment in Elle Casey’s contemporary adult THE BOURBON STREET BOYS romantic suspense series focusing on the Bourbon Street Boys (BSB) private security firm. This is owner Ozzie, and professional photographer May Wexler’s storyline.

Told from first person point of view (May) WRONG NUMBER, RIGHT GUY focuses on a case of mistaken identity-or-accidental text messaging wherein May receives texts from a number she believes belongs to her sister. When the messages become more incessant, rude and demanding our heroine show up at a local biker bar, May is all about keeping her sister happy. What May doesn’t know is that the phone text is from a man deep undercover whose messages are accidentally being sent to May’s phone. When May shows up at the bar, gunfire and a car pursuit find May in the protective custody of the Bourbon Street Boys, who will soon offer May a position within their group.

The relationship between May and Ozzie is one of immediate attraction as May finds herself drawn to the man in charge. Following a number of threats against May’s life, Ozzie has May move into the BSB headquarters wherein a sexual relationship between our leading couple ensues. Ozzie is the epitome of tall, dark and dangerous to May’s ‘Bo-Peep’ in pink outward façade. The $ex scenes are limited, provocative and intense.

There is a large cast of secondary and supporting characters including all of Ozzie’s Bourbon Street Boys security personnel. We are introduced to Toni-the only other female specialist-and a woman with secrets of her own. Toni has some issues with May, and May intends to get things out. May’s sister Jennifer-a computer specialist and single mother to three young children- plays a small recurring role as a support system for her sister, and quite possibly a potential new member of the BSB team.

The world building focuses on the men and women of the Bourbon Street Boys. We are witness to their individual pursuits and job descriptions as well as their current series of investigations and special operations. There is a building storyline at the local Marina where income and expenses don’t meet up.

Elle Casey adds some humor and asides throughout the story as we listen to May’s internal dialogue, banter and jokes pertaining to her current situation. Some of the humor was palatable but there were several instances where the flippancy and blatant attempts at comedy fell flat reminding of a young boy vying for attention with jokes and one-liners. I also had a few issues with the lack of character description and development as it pertained to our leading couple, and the lack of heat in the romance department. I think May’s characters lacked some maturity as it pertained to relationships making for some uncomfortable scenarios and relationship talk.

WRONG NUMBER, RIGHT GUY is an easy read; an entertaining storyline where two people from different walks of life find happiness and love all because of a wrong number and a few misdirected texts. Aside from some few bumps with the writing style WRONG NUMBER, RIGHT GUY is a welcome introduction to Elle Casey’s THE BOURBON STREET BOYS romantic suspense series. I am looking forward to what’s in store for the BSB security team.

Elizabeth never suspects that there is a reason Mr. Darcy is such a gifted vampire slayer. When the truth is revealed, they find they each have a lot to learn about each other and themselves.

Vampires and Dhampirs and Feral Vampires, oh my!

Generally speaking, this is a successful mashup of Pride and Prejudice with a vampire story. Jane Austen's prose and Ms. Davis' merge pretty nicely. There are a few places where it sounds a little too contemporary, but most of the time it's reasonably seamless.

I also was impressed with how well the vampire plot was executed with relatively small changes in the P&P plot. Where it diverges is at Lady Catherine's confrontation with Elizabeth at Longwood and it becomes a different book from there, but iconic plot points up to that time mostly jive with the original. There is a particularly wonderful vampire twist on the Lydia-Wickham storyline that is completely unexpected.

**spoiler alert** Mr. Bingley's secret that he's a werewolf is pretty evident to the reader early on, and I was surprised that Ms. Davis didn't do more with his alter ego. However, I really, REALLY loved a scene between him and Darcy that easily could have happened off-stage in the original: Bingley provides Darcy some instruction in how to be social and hold up his side of a conversation, and they practice together.

The last quarter of the book involves the unusual marriage between Elizabeth and Darcy, their struggle regarding whether or not to have children, and more interference from Lady Catherine. It works very well in adjunct with the rest of the story.

This is a very creative spin that is respectful of the hallowed original. Aside from some editing errors ("tired" instead of "tried" and similar mistakes) and the occasional lapse into sounding too modern as mentioned above, I thought this was a great read.

This book was so much fun to read

This book was so much fun to read. The author did two things successfully: 1) She uses alternating person POV. I love it when JAFF authors give us BOTH Elizabeth AND Darcy's POV. I always feel that I am getting more bang for my buck in these instances. 2) She stays successfully true to the original but inserts the vampire story line seamlessly and frequently so it does not get boring (not to say that the original is boring...it's just that we've all read it more times than we can count to the point of being able to recite the lines in our sleep...I don't need to re-read all of it in a variation). She even continues to write a continuation of the story beyond the original that consists of the last third of the book. It was the gift that kept on giving. I liked the use of humor as well; it shows the author's self-awareness that vampires are just a silly guilty pleasure we all enjoy. One of my favorite parts that kept me laughing long after the scene finished was (SPOILER) when Elizabeth kicks Darcy in the nuts and he can't ride his horse for a few days. The only criticism (if I can even call it that) is that the end gets a little melodramatic with (SPOILER) Darcy's insistence on not having any children. His stubbornness seems a bit unrealistic considering the circumstances. This is definitely worth the read.

I have to admit that I wasn't expecting to enjoy this.

I have to admit that I wasn't expecting to enjoy this... But I was pleasantly surprised to be wrong. The writing was entertaining and kept my interest, and I enjoyed the few subtle jabs at Twilight. It was much better written then those books and I could actually see myself reading it again (which is a big compliment from me, I wanted to shoot myself in agony when I tried to re-read Twilight).

Joanne was born in Napier, NZ. Her childhood was spent on a dairy farm near Napier and a sheep farm near Wanganui.
She is a 5th generation New Zealander of mixed English and German descent.

Completely Original and Skillfully Written

When Rolston first approached me for a review she described her book as somewhere between a devotional memoir and a fantasy novel. That really got my imagination going because I’d never heard of anything like that before. I went into the book having no idea what I was getting myself into, part of me was very excited while another part was cautious. As a fellow Christian I really wanted to see the good in this book because I wanted to support a sister in Christ, especially one who has been blessed and burdened with the talent to write in such a categorized genre. Being a Christian author is hard enough but being the author of a fantasy memoir is pretty much out of this world.

That being said, Rolston’s book is pretty darn good. After sitting down and giving this a good, thorough read, I think a cross between a memoir and a fantasy novel isn’t quite the right way to describe exactly what this book is. It’s actually an Epic Journal. Rolston may have just started her own genre with this one because that’s how unique it is—as a Christian novel and a ‘general’ read.

Whether you’re a Believer or not, you have to acknowledge the work and imagination poured into this piece. It was so skillfully intertwined with snippets of the author’s faith; I easily fell into the motion of the book. One thing I found interesting was that God actually played an important role in the book. You might say, duh, it’s a Christian book. But what I mean is that God Almighty was an active character. Many Christian books, whether fantasy or romance or contemporary, will simply ‘feature’ God.

Characters will pray to Him and He will eventually answer in one way or another, but in Rolston’s novel God actually replies and converses with characters. At some points we even see the story from His perspective which I thought was really cool. It isn’t that the book is suddenly narrated by the Almighty but that readers are able to feel what He feels and have a sense of ‘third-party’ perspective on things. That alone got me very interested in the book as this style of writing was clear from the very beginning in an introductory scene with the character, Anna.

Lucifer also makes an appearance in this book and his parts are funny. I don’t know if its ok for me to say that but I found myself smiling at his inclusion in the novel. He was portrayed as ‘the devil’ but in a way that gave him character and body. In most books I’ve read featuring Satan, he is more of an evil presence than anything but here we actually see him scoff, hear him laugh, and read his dialogue. It’s all very interesting and well put together.

All of the scriptures used are placed in the right spots. I wasn’t left scratching my head trying to figure out how the passages were related to the situation at hand. I also appreciated that Rolston quoted her scriptures and even included which biblical translation it came from. I will always love the King James Version but it was refreshing to see the New International Version of the Holy Bible included in Christian writing.

I don’t feel like I have the right to pass judgment on the characters because this is, in part, a memoir so they’re based on actual people. That being said, I did think they were very realistically portrayed and easy to relate to. I liked the link between Anna and Joanna, spiritually and physically. As the story unfolded everything began to take its place in the puzzle Rolston laid out before us. This was a roller coaster book but the ride was smooth and very enjoyable. This kind of writing is unique in and out of the Christian realm but I do hope to see more of it soon.

I would recommend this book to fans of memoirs, non-fiction, and biographical pieces. Those who enjoy Christian fantasy will take a liking to the unique story but if anyone loves a good old ‘good versus evil’ story then this book is for you. It is inspirational and uplifting, but most of all this book is entertaining—for all ages.

Christ the Head

This is an interesting book; it's a memoir set to the theme of the Kingdom of Heaven. There are many things that can be appreciated and admired about it. First of all, it is a full-length, well thought-out, frank story, that obviously took a lot of effort and emotion. I like the way that the author has a living and vibrant faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, yet without forsaking realism and the raw emotions of life. For example, it was moving to read that she had full faith that God was able to heal her brother, yet didn't grow bitter when the brother still suffered from mental problems and went to be with his heavenly Father early.
Next, I like the way that the relationship with the Lord Jesus lifted her up to avoid entering into bad relationships. There are plenty of critics of the Bible (cf. John Spong) who say that Christianity can't be fully trusted because it is a primary source of oppression for women. Yet Joanne's relationship with the Lord gave her strength and guidance to stay away from bad men and destructive situations. This is indeed what the Bible has the power to do.
Lastly, I enjoyed Joanne's firm understanding of the Gospel and her commitment to the Bible. I'm sure we wouldn't see eye to eye on everything theologically (what would be the fun in that?!), yet I'm sure we at least both agree that Christ is the Head, the Saviour, the Wonderful Counsellor, and the Mighty God.

Definitely worth reading

I was given a copy of this book in return of an honest review.
I must admit this wasn't quite what I was expecting, I obviously misread the info I was given which was my mistake. I didn't expect God to play such a huge role in the book or for there to be quite as many bible quotes, I am ashamed to admit if I had read the info sent to me better I wouldn't have read the book. That being said I am grateful if misread my info as I would have missed out on a truly original book. I'm not sure how best to describe the book it is part memoir, the authors own story, part fantasy and part something I have not quite pin pointed. I really liked that God was a real character in this story and I think he would be very happy at the way he was portrayed, we saw things from Joanna's view and also from God's. Lucifer was also portrayed, his voice at least. I liked the way that Lucifer was portrayed, not as his cloven, evil personal as he usually is, in fact I found him quite funny the way he heckles, scoff and laughs, all the while whispering in Joanna's ear how God doesn't love her, how she doesn't deserve his love. His role is to put doubt in people's minds, convince them they are not good enough, not liked etc... etc... I found him more believable than the fire and brimstone totally evil role he usually plays, in this I found him more real his turning people from God by deceit. God on the other hand is constantly assuring Joanna and others of his love for them, that he has always loved them and always will, and his sadness at those who turn their backs on him. I felt he was a very human God who had all of our good points amplified and more, with none of our bad. Joanna's life is far from easy, her childhood is truly abysmal she is treated terribly by both parents especially her bi-polar mother, her father doesn't care for any but himself. With God's love she gets through this but her journey in the big world isn't the easiest by far.
I don't really want to give anything of the story away, it is well worth the read. I apologise for not giving this book a worthy review but I couldn't find the right words without saying too much.

A Non-stop Romp

A noted creative writing instructor once claimed the key was action. Not constant movement but the ability to keep things percolating even in the least promising circumstances. And what could be less promising than a condo complex populated by golden-agers stuck somewhere in Palm Springs with a heat index over one-hundred? Not to mention those dreadful Association meetings over encroaching mold.
The good news is that this is a Peter Lefcourt romp; a writer who can ratchet up any set piece within hailing distance of that loopy company town called Los Angeles. Even the beloved hack Charlie Bern is in residence, happy to put you on to a local contract- killers exchange, no questions asked, because in the entertainment business there’s no division between research and mayhem.
Lefcourt also brings to bear his knowledge of seemingly everything from the workings of organized crime back east, fashion trends and every nook and cranny of Paris, West African coups and fertility artifacts, Corsican thugs in the drug trade, the shelf life of a B actress whose expertise as a wastrel has reached granny status and perpetual unemployment, etc. etc. etc.
And I’ve barely scratched the surface. How he manages to incorporate the backstory and ongoing escapades of Sammy Dee (an ex New York mobster on the witness protection program and fake purveyor of cement), Marcy (the still-hot aging temptress in dire straits), and Didier (whose own back story could generate a dozen action- and- lust flicks) is a marvel.

What's happening in Palm Springs?

Peter Lefcourt writes very funny books. The humor is usually dark and his books are much more character-driven than plot-driven. In fact, only Lefcourt's "The Woody" - published in the late 1990's and is about Washington politics - has as much plot development as character development. It is one of the funniest, most satirical books I've read.

Lefcourt writes both stand-alone books and books reusing old characters. It's always fun to learn what old friends in literature are up to these days, and in "Purgatory Gardens", we do see Charlie Berns again. But instead of being the lead character as he was in previous novels, Charlie is more of a secondary character, though one whose actions do add a boost to the story. The three main characters - Marcy Gray, a fading Hollywood actress, Sammy Dee, a low-level Mafia guy now in the Witness Protection Program, and Didier something-too-long-and-complicated-to spell - are all residents at "Paradise Gardens", a mid-level apartment complex in Palm Springs. All are in their late 60's and all are on the run from various troubled pasts. They wind up in Palm Springs - Charlie Berns is their common neighbor - and a love triangle evolves. Both Sammy and Didier are in love (and lust) with Marcy and are at odds at how to capture her love - and body.

Lefcourt's characters are always interesting in a sort of deranged way. Even when they're doing something stupid - as in this case - or illegal, there's an almost lovable feeling to them. You want to know them and maybe have them as friends. Maybe you're smart enough not to want to be too entangled with them, but you'd like to have them in your life. And the safest way is as characters in a very funny novel, one you can reread every now and again.

Peter Lefcourt is a Hollywood insider whose knowledge of what's going on and how business really works is always on the pages of his "Charlie Berns'" books. "Purgatory Gardens" is another fun and charming novel by Lefcourt. I would also, again, recommend "The Woody" (not available in ebook, for some reason) and another novel I thought was outstanding, was "An American Family", published in 2012 and a serious look at a Long Island family which begins on November 22, 1963 and ends on September 11, 2001.

Brilliantly subversive romantic comedy - strongly recommended.

Peter Lefcourt is back with a bang. Hilarious love triangle in a down-market Palm Springs condo between a faded actress and her two suitors, one a retired mob guy in witness protection, the other a fugitive African finance minister, both with desires for the actress's physical charms and her SAG pension. Cleverly plotted and perfectly written for the movies - it's a slam dunk to see Meryl Streep, Robert de Niro and Denzel Washington in the lead roles.

Purpose, Power, and Possibilities

The thing I love best about Kingdom Woman is the "two voices" of both Chrystal Evans Hurst, and her father, Dr. Tony Evans. Each chapter is filled with encouragement and Biblical examples of what it is to be a Kingdom Woman - one who aligns herself under God's authority in every area of her life. Let's be honest: sometimes reading another book on what our lives *should* look like can create a sense of disappointment or lack in our own lives. I picked up Kingdom Woman thinking it would be one of those books. Instead, I found Chrystal's realness and honesty about her journey to be so refreshing that it made the whole thing come alive and really speak to me. Dr. Tony's teaching is fantastic - I can't say enough about his ability to illuminate the word of God, and the corresponding "Chrystal's Chronicles" in each chapter colored in the lines and made it real. Possible. I felt empowered.

I found myself considering possibilities and dreams I hadn't thought about before, and I think it's because I hadn't had the perspective of being aligned with God's purposes in many of the ways outlined in the book. You will want to grab a highlighter and a pen for taking notes in the margins as you read. I would like to go through Kingdom Woman with a study group, because there is so much to discuss and learn....great book!

Outstanding book for all women!

I have found the book to be exactly as Dr. Evan's & Chrystal Evans Hurst set out for it to be. They wrote the book to "challenge women to look higher than where you are to whose you are, and to be transformed by the truth of being a Kingdom Woman." The book encourages women to set their eyes on Christ and to pursue what God has created them to be. It is true to that goal, encouraging, insightful and inspiring. Not what I expected from Dr. Evans!

Let me start off by saying that I LOVE Dr. Evans. I attended his church for many years until my husband's job had us relocate. I am always homesick from hearing his word and compare many churches that I attend to his, which makes it hard to find a "church home". So when I saw that he and his daughter was writing this book together, I was super excited! Once I ordered the book and got home, I dug right on in. I have to say that I had to stop several times and come back to it. This book was not a good/easy read by any means. The book did have some interesting points, however I don't think many will continue reading to discover them. It was very slow and repetitive. You will have the Chystal Chronicles which in many ways seemed a little fabricated, exaggerated, or reaching and then you will later have Dr. Evans reiterate her story. The book really isn't very practical as many of his other books are. I have tried many times to pick it back up and read, but it just doesn't do it for me. I haven't finished it yet in almost 2 months! I was very disappointed in this book as I am going through a difficult/confusing time in my life as a woman, wife, stay at home mother, so I was really looking forward to reading this to help put some things in my life in better perspective in regards to my purpose, passion, and all that I do. Needless to say this book fell short. I would not recommend.

Soothing activity for adults and kids alike!

My kids do a lot of coloring, and they have some of these detailed coloring books. I got this coloring book when we had relatives in town with their dog - so it was the perfect coloring activity to do with kids and adults.

There are 32 images in the book, with a list in the back of all the dog breeds. I like that there are all different dogs and breeds to give the book variety.

Each page is different, with a different breed as well as a different sort of theme, as each dog is doing something different and often staged with various items (e.g. surfboard).

The paper is nice bright white, and thick enough so that it holds up decently. For fine coloring like this, we use things like gel pens or color pencils.

The only improvements I would make:
~ I would like the pages to be perforated so that they can be torn out
~ the pages aren't numbered, so the numbered list of dogs can be confusing, especially if you cut out pages - so numbering or labeling pages might be useful.

I received this coloring book in exchange for my honest review. Lots of fun to do especially when the kids ask you to color with them! I am going to get another for a friend!

Hours of fun

I've really enjoyed this coloring book. The designs are very detailed. I've been working on one design for about 4 days now. I like to spend a few hours in the evening working on these. For the most part I used US Art Supply gel ink pens. I did use colored pencils for the dog.

This paper is semi thin. I wouldn't recommend using wet mediums. I would stick to colored pencils, crayons or pens. You might be able to use markers but I would remove the page before you do.

I wish the pages were perforated. This would make removing them easier.

Artistically the designs are unique. There were a few times where the pattern didn't repeat perfectly. Occasionally I stumbled on to missing or incomplete lines. I was able to correct the lines and the flaws in the pattern really didn't affect the final product.

LOVE IT-The Modern Twist On Traditional Coloring Books!-Dog Lovers Check This Out!

Are you guys a fan? I sure am. These 'adult coloring books' are really getting popular, you see them in practically all the stores nowadays. I am a big fan of these, they definitely are very calming and it brings me back to my nostalgic childhood where I loved anything arts+craft related and coloring. I love things being colorful which is one reason why I feel so accomplished after finishing a page. The difference with these and traditional children coloring books is that the designs are more mature and the photos are definitely more detailed. Yes my photos down below are actually the dog coloring page on the cover so you can truly see how it transforms into something so beautiful. You can use gel pens, skinny markers and colored pencils [test it to make sure it doesn't bleed first] with this coloring book.

With that being said, the more detailed a photo is, typically that is how much better it will look in the long run. I keep one in my car and my book bag I bring to school just to have as a stress-reliever or if I get bored. Works really well and photos are great quality too. I love dogs and this would be great for any dog lovers/owners out there, I would recommend. Product was given complimentary in return for an honest review and all words and photos are my own.

About the Author
Andri Snær Magnason is one of Iceland's most celebrated young writers. He has written poetry, plays, fiction, and non-fiction, and in 2009 he co-directed the documentary Dreamland, which was based on his book Dreamland: A Self-Help Manual for a Frightened Nation. In 2002 LoveStar was named "Novel of the Year" by Icelandic booksellers and received the DV Literary Award and a nomination for the Icelandic Literary Prize. LoveStar was also shortlisted for the 2013 Philip K. Dick Award. His children's book, The Story of the Blue Planet—now published or performed in twenty-six countries—was the first children's book to receive the Icelandic Literary Prize, and was also the recipient of the Janusz Korczak Honorary Award and the West Nordic Children's Book Prize. Andri is the winner of the 2010 Kairos Award.

Calculated love with funerals in the skies

I originally read the icelandic version of this book by Magnason, being icelandic and all that, and found it to be brilliant.

Here, a distopic version of the future is put in a humorous context with the love of ones live being a calculated.. say technical fact and every single person being a walking advertisement, voluntarily and sometimes involuntarily if unlucky. The story follows two lovers living in this crazy future that one day are told that they have NOT been "calculated together" - they are not ment to be together - and their true partners are out there waiting for them, sad and lonely. Disbelieved and in love, they do everything they can to fight this calculated fact resulting in humorous scenarios and funerals in the skies..

I recommend this one to all that like the works of Douglas Adams.

I just finished this book yesterday, as a "random pick read" from my local library. I am very fortunate to have stumbled across it. If you enjoy 'science fiction' which is not so much about 'teleporting, laser cannons, and space travel' (i.e., based in 'extreme tech') but rather which takes current issues in society; teases them into a possible future 'what if...' carried to the Nth degree (somewhat absurdly, although how much so remains to be debated in this case) -- then you will love this book. The story reads incredibly well, is engaging, and succeeds at presenting a future which is both utterly horrific and entirely recognizable. It addresses a fairly wide range of themes spanning work and our place in society; society and its place in our lives; love; death; religion; advertising and media; communication and relationships; corporations, growth and 'progress'; and the overlap of all these themes in people and how they live their lives. Even if you don't particularly care for a book which has 'a lot to say' this is an excellent and enjoyable read that can be simply taken for an entertaining and engaging story if that is all you feel like :-)

I think this may be one of my favorite novels! The plot is incredibly clever and incredibly prescient, given that it was originally written close to 15 years ago. Lovestar is all at once funny, heartbreaking, and terrifying. Absolutely a must-read!
