Sarah West did a phenomenal job organizing and communicating the importance of a parent's role in their children's life. She truly leads parents into a deeper understanding of their personal experiences and gently helps them to confront their past and present to create a healthier future. Her book is absolutely perfect for a small group setting or a larger lecture style setting. She tackles a lot of the pressing issues in the culture today and gives biblical truths regarding how to handle them. She shares her own experiences with her family and children and really enlightens us with a look into her personal testimony. She is encouraging yet challenging. This will definitely impact you and your family!!

Sarah gave such a practical guide to parents when she wrote this book! I'm thankful to have it as a resource as we're launching into the teen years with my son. Focusing first on us, the parents, and our own pasts is such a great place to start and is often completely disregarded in parenting books. That she realized that we need to deal with our own unhealthy issues or beliefs first really set a great tone for the rest of book. I love how each principle includes an application section and felt better prepared to handle the talk with my children with a biblical foundation for the discussions sure to follow.

A "next level" parenting must!

Sarah West does an amazing job talking about "the talk" and then taking it to the next level. Sex is everywhere...and yet, for some reason, parents are nervous and scared to talk about it with their children. Every parent, grandparent, and more needs to read this book...and then walk it out! Don't think your children are too young (or too old)...this isn't just one talk...but a lifestyle of leading our children with healthy communication down the right path. Excellent read...and lesson learned!
